All services and
programs begin with a consultation
visit. This visit is usually held no later then one week prior to the actual start date of services.
The purpose of this visit is to fill out required documents, for the clients to meet the service provider and for the service provider to meet the
pet's and their owners. This is when the client is able to show the service provider where all of the needed supplies are, to show what security issues that need to be taken care of, where the pet food is located as well as leashes, and litter box. The client can then show the service provider the other tasks they may want completed or taken care of when gone.
It is at this visit that the client will make
payment (only if a first time client, or client returning from a defaulted payment), provide the service provider with keys, alarm codes, and completed documentation.

Visit & Sit
This is a service specifically designed for the visitors to the Niagara Region. Like a lot of pet owners you bring your pet with you on visits, day trips, weekend trips. You didn't plan anything specific but when you get to where you are going the plans change and you need to find someone that can watch your loved pet while you go shopping, to a show, or out to dinner.
We have dedicated sitters that can come to you at a drop off and pick up point, walk, play, feed,
and give fresh water to your pet while you are gone for that short period of time. Prices for this service vary depending on location, and hours required. Identification from the pet owner will be required for this service.

Dog Walking
We have group and private walking programs. This is a great program for dog owners that are no longer able to walk their dogs due to health problems, or owners that just do not have the time available in their busy lives to take the pet out for any length of time.
Proof of vaccination and parasite control from the clients are required before the
dogs
can join in the walks. The walks are 30 minutes in
length and are done in the clients' own neighborhood.
To join in the group walks the dog must not be aggressive toward other dogs. No more than 4 dogs will be walked at once. The dog will have the opportunity to socialize while getting the daily exercise that is needed. So gather the
neighbors together for a great cost savings.
If the clients pet prefers the one to one time the private walks is what he/she can receive. These walks are well suited for the dogs with health problems that prevent them from walking as fast as other dogs, that just want company and fresh air or are aggressive toward other dogs.
This program allows the precious pets to have a healthy exercise routine as well as giving them the chance to get out and stretch their legs and giving them the opportunity to eliminate instead of having to hold it all day until the owner comes home.

Puppy Breaks
Within a 30 minute visit we reinforce training - bathroom break - basic grooming such as trimming nails - brushing - ear cleaning - brushing teeth - cleaning up any puppy messes and a short walk so your puppy can get used to walking on a leash and completing a daily diary.
Having the puppy cooped up all day, alone, maybe in a cage or pen, without human interaction or without being able to eliminate outside just makes it difficult for everyone concerned making for a longer training process.
The service provider can also water indoor plants - collect mail/newspaper - take out garbage - turn on/off lights, stereos, televisions - open/close window
treatments and any other service agreed upon by the client and service provider.

Cat Visitation
Cat visitation is based on a 30 minute visit.
For indoor and outdoor cats we require the pets to remain indoors during our visits and/or put on a leash to be escorted outside. This is to ensure the safety of the pet as well as follow the City By-Law stating that all pets must be leashed when taken outdoors. This also ensures the pet is back indoors when the visitation is completed for the day, safe and sound.
Cat visitation consists of - walk on leash - cleaning litter box - giving fresh food and water - cleaning pet dishes - brushing and clipping nails - playtime and completing a daily diary.
While at your home, the sitter can - water plants - collect mail/newspapers - take out garbage - turn on/off lights, stereos, televisions - open/close window
treatments or any other service agreed upon by the client and service provider.

Friendship Tagging
A pet owner has their pet tattooed and/or micro chipped which displays the information on how to contact the owner but only when the pet is taken to the Humane Society, which means the pet may be put in a stressful situation if put in with the other pets or a cage. Not to mention the fees the owner will have to endure when they go to pick up the pet, such as the handling fee, and any fees for the pet not having
valid tags.
We hope to eliminate this process for the client.
This program is an added precaution and valued alternative. Tags are purchased for a minimal fee and worn by the
pets. The tags are stamped with our company initials, I.D. number, and our telephone number. If a pet is lost or has run away and is picked up by a
neighbor, they will be able to call the number on the tag, a service provider can identify the pet, retrieve the pet, return him/her to their home, make sure the pet is fed and calm and leave the pet safe in their familiar environment.
If the pet is taken to the Humane Society our service is not able to pick up the precious pet due to Liability Clauses within the Humane Society.
In the event that a client requires our services for the program, a Pet Taxi fee will apply. A daily dairy and invoice will be left at the home.

Basic Grooming
This service is for the client that has a pet that needs frequent brushings, bathing, ear cleaning, nail trims, de-matting and more.
This is a 45 minute visit to the clients home.
Pets with long hair, curly hair, or thick double coats get matted easily and the owner may not be able to find the time to brush their little one everyday or every other day due to the owners health or finances that prevent the owner from getting the help of a groomer.
The service provider has the tools, experience and can make the time for the clients pet. The only thing a client needs to do is come home and see their beautiful, happy and tidy pet.
If the pet requires more than 45 minutes of grooming the client can choose to book further sessions or additional time. Please see the Pricing Guide for appropriate fees.

Key & Code Program
For our clients with or without pets, a client has signed on to one of our pet or home programs requiring access into the home,
for those who travel due to work or for those who have health concerns that may keep them away from their pets.
The client agrees to provide two sets of house keys so we can have immediate, hassle free access to their home and/or pets. Two sets of keys are required.
Please note that if the client is not able to provide the keys to the home at the consultation visit and the service provider must make another trip to the home to pick up the keys there will be a fee for the extra trip. We can not wait until the day of service for these keys as that will only leave room for a possible misunderstanding or lock out.
We are committed to being careful when our clients are away and have entrusted us to take care of their pet and home. Keys are encoded to protect against being linked to a particular home and when not in use, remain
in a safely locked away area at all times. Any person that is able to use a clients lock out key must show proof of identification and have their name on the list of approved persons entry list of the client.

Add-Ins
For the clients with more than one pet, living over a 25km return trip distance from the service providers
location and clients that require some extra time and statutory

This applies to the pets that have gone through the garbage and spread it through the home or have made multiple elimination messes through out the home that requires more time to clean than the 30 minute visitation.
Please see the pricing guide for fees and additional services.
Please note that Niagara Regional Pet & Home Services will continually be expanding their services and programs to suit clients needs and to provide more complete all-in-one services.
If you require a service that you do not see listed here please feel free to contact customer
